In 2012, Deborah co-founded LearnCoach with a vision to change lives through education.  Since then, LearnCoach has grown from helping 80 students to helping 80,000 New Zealand students, in over 250 schools with free online education.

Deborah is an advocate for equity in Aotearoa and is currently learning Te Reo Maori.

Deborah has a diverse education; BMedSci (hons), MEntr (distn) and MbChb.

Passionate about health advocacy, Deborah is the current chair of the New Zealand Medical Association Doctors-in-Training-Council and on the board of the New Zealand Medical Association.

She is on the New Zealand Medical Workforce Taskforce Governance Group and works as a doctor in Wellington Hospital.

Deborah believes in making the most of opportunities.

As a proudly New Zealand woman, she was placed 15th at Miss World in China, top-6 at the World Supermodel Competition in Fiji, and won the best speaker award at the World Miss University Competition in Korea.

Speaking and Presentations

An accomplished keynote speaker and involved member of Toastmasters International, Deborah has delivered multiple presentations nationally and internationally. Most recently she hosted the 2016 World University Peace Corps in conjunction with the United Nations in China at Beijing University. Popular speaking topics include:
